With respect to our car excursions it is good to know:

Excursions of Resotel Baan Sanook are unique in setup; not only do we invite you to explore the direct vicinity using our scooters (see “by scooter”) but certainly advise you to enjoy tailor made, guided excursions in our comfortable 4WD SUV or brand new 4Door pickup driven by your host or hostess.

For these excursions it is good to known:

• Every excursion is flexible; there is no time limit visiting certain locations. If you are ready to go, we move to the next location.
• Based on experience, host advises combination of sightseeing locations based on guest’s individual interest and practical connection between locations.
• Excursions are typically limited to maximum of 6 persons, however for comfortable ride max 4 persons is best.
• The owner/host of Resotel Baan Sanook is your driver/guide and can advise you in English, Dutch or German language how to behave and prepare for an excursion. In rare cases host is unavailable for excursion, more excursions for one day are scheduled or group size is 6 of more persons, we can fall back on local minivan with reliable driver. In any case host or hostess will join.
• We aim to keep the excursions tailor made towards individual interest and advise best combination of highlights to visit. As a result groups for excursions are typically a couple, two couples or group of friends.
• To get maximum output of your day, typically excursions start early morning, often before 08:00 hour and return is mostly after sunset.
• There are possibilities to have couple of excursions with overnight away from Resotel Baan Sanook. This is a new addition and details to agree mutual during your stay.
• Dress code depends on season and what to visit. We advise women always to have a long skirt on hand, easy to slip in over shorts, as to have scarf or shirt to cover shoulders and breasts since many locations require respectful coverage of body. For men it is much easier and any outfit will do, however sleeveless shirts are “not done”. In any case we advise you prior what to wear and/or take with you.
• Excursions are to complete your overall stay experience at Resotel Baan Sanook and therefore we aim to keep costs low. Price of excursions vary based on locations and are based on distance. Note that excursion price is per car, not per person. As indication it can be said that excursion costs are between 2000 and 3000 THB per car.

In addition to our 4WD SUV, we recently purchased a high power pickup suitable for transportation of 5 persons in the cabin. Since transport of humans in the bed of pickup car is very popular in Thailand, we do offer the possibility to experience ride like this, however be advised that you are exposed to the elements (sun, wind, rain, dust) and it introduces a higher (own !!!) risk than transportation within the cabin. But it is fun, not at least to see the surprised faces of the Thai people seeing farang this way .
